The EURIDICE intermediate review meeting was held in Brussels on 9th December 2009, with some very positive outcomes. The EC and Reviewers observed that the project team has implemented successfully importnat actions after March, improving very much the integration and setting up a shared EURIDICE agenda and vision across all WPs and partners.

They recognised the good quality of overall results and congratulated for achievement of some outstanding results, for example the "benchmark quality" work that was done in pilots. No major problems have been highlighted and the project is considered to be on a good truck. The project team has started the 3rd year of its life with hard work in order to meet expectations and accomplish further quality results.

The 2nd European Conference on ICT for Transport Logistics was successfully held on the 29th and 30th of October in Venice. EURIDICE was one of the contributing projects and the leader in the organization of this years' conference.

The conference was focussed on “Energy Efficient and Sustainable Logistics”. With over 100 international participants the conference had even more participants than during its first installation in Lucerne, Switzerland, last year. The number of participants demonstrates once again the importance of Freight Logistics as the backbone for the European economy and the need to harmonize the interfaces between different transport modes and institutions in Europe.

The audience came from industry (shippers, logistics providers, transporters, etc.), administration (customs, etc.) and academia. Conference presentations are available at the website: www.ecitl.eu
